Cordyceps and its extracts are natural products that are generally safe when administered orally at a concentration of 3-6gm/day.
There are no side effects when taken in dosages upto 3-6gms/day (6 - 12 Capsules per day) at a dosage of 1-1.5gms (2 - 3 Capsules per dose) twice or thrice a day. In rare cases, mild side effects like bloating and stomach upset can occur.
Cordyceps extracts contain “Cordycepin”, a nucleotide analogue and bio-active compound
that inhibits tumor growth. Cordycepin is shown to interfere with DNA synthesis and
induce apoptosis (cell death) in cancerous cells. Synthetic derivatives of Cordycepin are
proven as most effective chemotherapeutic agents due to their therapeutic efficiency
and bio-tolerance in
Phase-I clinical studies conducted by Oxford University.
